Heather Meinert

Heather started her hair career at age 12 by cutting the hair of friends and family. After moving to Los Angeles in her mid-20’s she worked in the music video production world with hair/makeup and costumes. Realizing she wanted to be behind the chair full time, she attended cosmetology school and spent two years assisting in one of the top salons, a hidden gem – Goodform.

The birth of her children moved her to Portland where she opened The Parlour in 2007. Her love of eclectic music, art and nature are her constant source of inspiration. She has a knack for cutting fine hair and loves short, textured cuts the most. Connecting with the maturing client and helping them find and maintain a hip, easy to care for style seems to be a specialty she rather enjoys. When she’s not at the salon she is usually cooking delicious vegan food,  hanging with felines, singing, birding or enjoying the company of friends
